Stephanie Comes

I will post up until the 4th of July, but Stephanie was here for that as well. Anyway, the Phelons come every summer for 3 weeks. It is a crazy time with trying to figure out things to do and going to Grandma's almost every day. It kind of eats up the summer, but it is really fun, especially for the kids. I can't remember everything we did, but one of the days, Grandma set up the water park in her backyard. Unfortunately, some of the kids are starting to grow out of it and didn't stay out long. My kids were die-hards though and out there until the end.

Kylie was very timid on the water slide, she would basically just walk up it.

The first week Stephanie was here, we had a YW activity where we went rock climbing. We wanted the girls to get exposed to it before the high adventure camp. Some of them were naturals and really did great! Others were scared to try very hard. I learned that I am still so very weak, especially in my core. I could feel the weakness there and I had never felt that before when climbing. It gave me even more motivation to really get exercising and strengthening my muscles, especially my core.

Some cute pics of Ethan:

The kids made a crown for him that he happily wore for a bit.
him a new hat to keep his head from getting sunburned. I couldn't resist getting this darling BYU hat even though it isn't a sun hat! He seems to be allergic to sunscreen (notice his chapped cheeks). So I only put it on him when absolutely necessary and try to keep him in the shade as much as possible. This hat will help.

We went to the Seaquest Aquarium. Nate never seems to get to go because we always go with family on days that he works.

Petting an iguana. Kylie didn't want to come in here.

Almost all of them from the 4 families!

Shannon Garrison got her mission call to California, Long Beach. We had to quickly get our Temple recommends renewed because we just realized they were expiring and the next week, the Garrisons were coming and Shannon was going to go through the temple for her first time. So we made sure to meet with a Bishopric member and the Stake presidency member that week so we could be ready.

Nate was able to stay late one night to play games with his sisters. He enjoyed that.

We ate out one Friday evening at McDonalds and while Logan and Kylie were playing on the playground, Nate was keeping Ethan entertained by spinning his ring. Ethan thought it was so exciting! He loved trying to catch it! Here is a video of it.
