Right after our Anniversary date, I went to Girl's Camp for 3 days. It was a High Adventure Camp and I took full advantage! I did everything on the itinerary and I was so sore the last day! ha ha! There was rock climbing, rappelling, a ropes course (which is mostly why I am sore, I think. It was really hard to climb up the telephone poles to get up to the rope things), archery, knife throwing, hatchet throwing, and canoeing. I found out that I am actually pretty good at archery! It was my first time doing that. The girls were a bit frustrating at times because many of them would often skip out on activities and hang out at the camp in their tents. They were "too tired." The ward paid all this money and they don't even attempt to do the activities! It's their only chance to do a camp like this and they don't participate! It wasn't something I even expected so I didn't know how to motivate them. I tried, but I think I just annoyed them:) Teenagers! I think the only activities that most of them did was the archery/knife/hatchet throwing and the canoeing. However, the testimony meeting was really good. All of them, except one, bore their testimonies. Even the shy ones (except one of the shy ones). So that was a plus. And I think there was some bonding, which is important. I didn't get any pictures of me, since I was the one with the phone, but that's ok.
(Just as a side note: We had to do a swim check before going and I can't remember how far it was just to say you were a beginner swimmer, but I barely passed! It was so hard for me! I was dead at the end!)

| Debbie is in her 60s and also did everything. She also got the farthest up on the rock climbing! She is amazing! |
The cooperative part. We were able to convince everyone to come to this, somehow.
 |
| The view from our tent window. We had the last camping site, which made for long walks, but it was pretty and secluded. |
 |
| We did a sunrise hike the last morning with a few girls. It was a short hike but it was pretty. |
When I came back, we went to Surf n' Swim as a family. We bought a floaty for Ethan and he loved it! He was kicking his legs and splashing his arms! He was moving around much better in that than he does on the ground.
The next day was Saturday and we went to Annie's baptism in the morning (where we saw the Pattersons!), then to their house for a lunch and to play in their backyard, and then a large family reunion at Great Uncle Harry's pond. It was an extended family reunion, so we didn't know very many people, but it was fun just to hang out with my sisters and their families. And we took the kayaks out a few times, which was really fun. Both Logan and Kylie loved it!
