Happy Birthday & UEA & It's a . . .Girl!

For my birthday, we actually went to a movie (I believe it was The Giver) and then went to Olive Garden. It was really nice to spend so much time together.

The next week was UEA (Utah Education Association) and I went to both days, all day, so I can get some more points in order to eventually renew my license again. My mom had Logan one of the days and Nancy had him the other day. When my mom had him, she was staying in the Salt Lake area so she took him to the Zoo with some of my cousin's kids and he had a blast! He talked about it whenever we went to Salt Lake for awhile. It was pretty funny. And I really did learn a lot at the conference. It just made me wish I had a classroom to try some of the things on. I especially enjoyed some classes that talked about how the brain works and, therefore, what kind of environment is best to teach kids in. And some teaching techniques like how often and when to repeat something in order for the kids to remember.

The next week we had THE ultrasound. And it's a girl! We're both very excited! Now we'll have one of each! And everything checked out fine, so it was all good. After the ultrasound, we went shopping at Kohl's for some girl clothes. It was so hard to narrow down what to buy, there are so many cute girl clothes. We finally ended up buying 3 sets, one more than what we bought when we found out Logan was a boy. It was just too fun! When we got home, Logan was really excited about the clothes too. He loves new clothes! And we were able to tell him that he'll have a baby sister. I don't think he understood exactly, but he was excited!
