General Conference, Spring Break, and Easter Fun!

We had April General Conference at my parents' house again. It will probably be the last one in their Tooele house since my mom finally convinced my dad to move to Utah Valley. The move won't make too much of a difference to us. It's about the same time to get there (maybe slightly longer), and JJ and Missy are there. So it gets them closer to their kids.
Tiffany and Kristy had some great activities to help keep the kids entertained. I didn't do so great this year since I am working now. It's just harder to find the time to do things like that. But I did print off a few fun coloring pages and things. Annie and Sadie probably used the activities the most.
During one of the conference breaks, we had an Easter Egg hunt! Logan had no problem finding eggs this year. And Kylie caught on pretty quickly. JJ put money in 2 of the eggs so the older kids were searching really hard for those. One of them, they kept walking all around it and almost stepping on it and they could not find it for the longest time! Then Cambree finally did. They all had a pretty good haul of candy.

Kylie liked to stop and eat the candy in the eggs. She even started eating one with the wrapper still on! I didn't catch her in time.

The next weekend was Spring Break. Nate took Thursday and Friday off to spend with the kids so that I could go to my cousin Sean's wedding. It took him awhile to find the right girl so it was really exciting. They got married in the Provo City Center Temple and the parking was awful! I arrived there 20 minutes early and proceeded to go around and around the parking lot trying to find a spot and never could get one. So I ended up parking on the street a block (a long block) away! The group had already gone up to the sealing room so I was the last one to arrive (besides the happy couple). And there weren't any extra seats. Luckily Shawn (my brother-in-law) gave up his spot. And I didn't feel too bad because he has been having some health issues with his backside and can't sit for too long anyway. But I really felt dumb. How did everyone else find parking? I will never know. I stayed for the pictures, then headed home. So I skipped out on the luncheon and reception. When I got home, we dyed Easter Eggs! Kylie joined in the fun this year and cracked a couple. But it's all for the fun.

The next morning, we went to the park for a bit, went to Wal-mart to grab treats, then headed for our overnight trip to Grins and Fins water park. It's a little water park inside of a hotel. Unfortunately, Kylie didn't seem to be feeling very well so she didn't even want to get into her swim suit. So I mostly just sat on the edge of the pool or hot tub with her and stuck my feet in while Nate and Logan played. I did take the time to go down the big slide though. It was fun! Poor Logan wanted to go but he wasn't tall enough. It will be nice when our kids are big enough to do the really fun stuff. In the morning, they had a nice breakfast. It was a fun little "staycation." We didn't seem to get pictures of this. Probably because we didn't bring our phones into the swimming area.

When we came back, we headed to the Easter Egg Hunt at Hill Aerospace Museum. In years past, it has been busy, but the kids have always gotten plenty of eggs so it has been worth it. But this year was a different story. Nate had to park so far away that he barely made it in time for it to start (he dropped us off before heading to find parking). Kylie only got 2 eggs (the parents were picking up eggs for the little ones and 3 year olds were way faster than Kylie). I also picked up a pack of starbursts for her. And Logan got 8 eggs plus a bag of skittles. So Logan did ok, but Kylie didn't get much. And it was a long trek back to the car. So I don't think we will do that one again next year. It's just getting too known.

Waiting for it to start. This picture is just too cute.

Since we were up that way, we decided to go to Tractor Supply where Karl is training for his new store manager job. They were doing a kids day so they had some things around the store for the kids to do. They colored, got a picture with chicken man (at least Logan did, Kylie was too scared), and played pin the tail on the duck. I must not have gotten the picture. I know Karl took one, but I haven't seen it and I stupidly didn't get one myself)

We ordered Logan a new bike because his other one is getting a bit small. I am hoping that with bigger wheels, he will be able to go up driveway curbs a little easier. We also got him a bigger helmet, a Captain America one. I wanted to get a girly helmet for Kylie, but they were all too big. I guess we will wait until next year.
